Leaving you on a cliffhanger in my post of Byron Bay, Smera and I went to check out the lighthouse.
Little did I know that the Lighthouse is the BEST reason to check out Byron Bay and WHY it is so!
I can’t really explain to you in words why but rather in pictures. Byron Bay Lighthouse is on top of a huge cliff and actually the easternmost point of mainland Australia. There is a point if you go down the track down the edge of the cliff and then clamber over the blocked barrier and perch yourself on the rock outcropping with the ocean crashing majestically all either side of you.
I have to say that this is one of the best highlights of travel for me. The views are out of this world! Enjoy!
