Happy New Year you lovely and sexy Readers!

Did you have a good Christmas? Were you decking the halls with boughs of holly and getting a sneaky kiss under the mistletoe in return? Or did you rock around the Christmas tree singing carols to the dog? No? Just me.
Other than getting a wonderful array of travel pressies such as travel guides to Scandinavia and London, professional travel wash bag, travel exercise kit and a few bits and bobs, it does come to no surprise that I’m already planning my new 2016 Rexy Edventures already!
But before I reveal one destination I’ll be going to, we here at RexyEdventures need to inspire you to start planning your city breaks, beach holidays and possibly a round the world trip! Take a little peek at my 2015 travel review to start getting some ideas:

“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” — Lao Tzu

Mr Lao Tzu is definitely right in his profound quote that a single step is all it takes to start your next adventure. It’s a saying I have religiously followed since RexyEdventures has started. Therefore, I have interpreted the ‘single step’ to be that of travel planning.
And so you should too.
That single step can be anything. A simple flight booking from the new year sales; a ticket to see your favourite acts at a world-renowned music festival out of the country; buying a travel journal; literally ANYTHING.
So, to help you on your way, I’ve teamed up with TripRider to help start YOUR travel planning now in RexyEdventures’ NEW YEAR GIVEAWAY!

How to win:
We are giving away 10 promo codes of the ultimate travel planning TripRider app just exclusively for you Rexy readers!
Simply comment on this post on where in the world you would like to go in 2016 and why.
You have until Sunday 10th January 6pm to enter your top destination. The ten winners will be selected at random on Monday 11th January and you will be sent your code via email.

TripRider: What is it?

TripRider is the ultimate comprehensive travel planning app for keeping your trip details in one place. It’s the perfect tool to use on your phone. Such great features include offline working, integrated security for your data, and you can enter as much information as possible about your trip enough to make Lonely Planet blush. You can even share your ideas on Facebook and Twitter with your potential travel mates that will make you look like you are the traveller supreme!
I had the pleasure of using TripRider to plan my trip to Munich last year and I’ll tell you, its stylish features and ease of use had me panting like a dog on heat. With anticipation of exploring the Bavarian city, I was able to build up a huge portfolio long before I left my house. Another reason I loved TripRider is that it doesn’t actually bug you with their own suggestions on what you should do or where you should go (I’m looking at you, pop up ads) and actually rejoices the level of research and time you put in to plan your travels.
Easy, peasy, lemony, squeezy.

BREAKING NEWS: First RexyEdventures Travels BOOKED!
Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden
Yes, Stockholm, the city of ABBA (Oooh, Dancing Queen!) is my first 2016 booking I’ll be putting TripRider to good use!
I’ve just bought my ticket to Travel Blog Exchange (TBEX) Conference, which I’ll be attending since my last TBEX outing in Dublin in 2013. What’s more, this time it’s in beautiful Stockholm! I cannot wait to be outrageously unashamed to be squealing with manly joy at the ABBA museum before exploring the city. It’s a must do.
Have you been to Stockholm? Do you have any tips for me?
But am I just staying in Stockholm where there’s so many Scandinavian places to visit in this Northern European and Viking history rich region?
Well, watch this space.
I want to go to Switzerland this year to visit 2 friends who love there that I have met from my trek America trips.
I want to visit Iceland. It’s always been a dream of mine but I’ve always put it off as it seems so expensive. This year though I’m determined to start taking those steps to get there
It may not seem too exciting when there’s the whole wide world out there, but I’ve just started looking into going island hopping in Scotland this year. It looks so beautiful up there and I’d love to try to see the Aurora Borealis there as well.
