Twilight Soho Food Tour

Oh damn, this is delicious! I bit into my Gin soaked pie, allowing the flavours to explode my tastebuds as I grinned, slightly wiping off the crumbs that dotted my chin. The atmosphere was exotically dark inside the London Gin Club, the smells a rich pungent from the aromas that wafted from my Gin glass. I took a sip.

Unexpected delights of Kings Cross in London

‘Isn’t Kings Cross just the train station?’ I surmised to my myself while I read the email from Clink Hostels inviting me to explore the area where their London based hostels are based. Clink78 and Clink261 can be found just a stone’s throw away from the train station that everyone associates with when they think of Kings Cross.

‘I swear London get’s weirder every month!’ I muttered to myself in front of Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium, while I waited for my friends to arrive. Yes, there’s now a cat cafe in London. Themed cafes are becoming the craze in London these...

Riding the tallest slide in the the world – ArcelorMittal Orbit

‘Is the helmet really necessary?’  The AttractionTix staff member pounded the helmet to snugly fit my rather large head. I grimaced as I looked at myself in the reflection of the window, ignoring the gorgeous skyline views of London to the south-west. I...

Richmond Park: Europe’s Biggest Urban Park

‘So. that was the right bus to Richmond Park…’ I scratched my head looking at the departing bus from our Wimbledon bus stop and looked, with a big grin, at my friend who glared back. We had been waiting at the bus stop for a while that Sunday morning...

London in Photos: Aldgate

Just keep looking up! For my job, I found myself deep into the heart of London’s Central Business District, Aldgate. The area was changing to create more green spaces to appeal more to Londoners and tourists. Even though there are plenty of roadworks, city...

Being a VIP at a Football Premiership Game

by Rexy | Mar 12, 2016 | Blog, British Travel, Rexy Inspiration, Travel Articles, Unexpected Travel | 0 comments

I was swearing my head off, standing up, throwing my arms in front of me. A red face peeked out into the bitter cold and screaming, ‘What are you doing, Gunners?! You just let them walk it in!’  I remained standing when everyone sat down in the glorious...

The London SkyRace

My heart was pounding. I breathed raggedly and I clung on the banister as I looked up above in overwhelming despair. I still had floors and floors of staircases yet to climb. I had reached the halfway point in five minutes and yet it already felt like a lifetime on...

A beautiful, bright and wintry day in London

by Rexy | Feb 1, 2016 | Blog, British Travel, Food and Drink, Handsome Travel, Live Like A Londoner, Travel Articles | 0 comments

Wasn’t it a beautiful day in the UK on Saturday? Taking a break from my studying, I went to meet up with my oldest friend of 24 years (I feel old) in Central London while he was visiting his brother. We went to the pub-boat, Tattersall Castle, for a few pints on...

Review: Astor Hostels Victoria

by Rexy | Dec 29, 2015 | Blog, British Travel, Budget Travel, Reviews, Travel Articles | 1 comment

It was like being transported to the Georgian period in London, I surmised as I stepped out into the night, breathing out steam into the cold air, from Pimlico tube station on this chilly December night. Rows of Georgian style houses lined the spick and span streets...
